INDIANAPOLIS, IN, June 7, 2019 \u2013 Indiana Black Expo, Inc. announced its luncheon honorees today: Teddy Riley (Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient), DuJuan McCoy (Entrepreneur of the Year Award Recipient), and Central Indiana Community Foundation (Rev. Charles R. Williams Excellence Award Recipient). The Pacers Sports & Entertainment Corporate Luncheon presented by Indiana University and Hoosier Lottery will take place on Friday, July 19th at 11:00 a.m. inside Halls D & E of the Indiana Convention Center.\u00a0 Individual luncheon tickets are $60 and tables are $600.\u00a0 Tickets can be purchased at the IBE Box Office located at 3145 North Meridian Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, by calling 317.923.3037 or visiting www.SummerCelebration.net<\/a>.\u00a0 The luncheon is one of the largest luncheons in the state of Indiana with nearly 3000 attendees.\u00a0 \u201cThis year\u2019s awardees are giants in their industry and have made a mark on African-American culture, music, progress or achievement,\u201d said IBE President Tanya Bell. \u00a0\u201cWe look forward to honoring them and highlighting their contributions to our community during the corporate luncheon,\u201d added Bell.<\/p>\n

\nLifetime Achievement Award Recipient<\/h5>\n

An innovator credited with creating New Jack Swing, a genre of music whose influence permeated musical categories including, contemporary R&B, Hip-Hop, Gospel, Soul and Pop since the early 80s, Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum mega-producer Teddy Riley continues to remain a relevant force in entertainment. \u00a0 For more than 30 years Teddy Riley\u2019s career has embodied ingenuity as a recording artist, Songwriter, Producer, Composer, Arranger, Engineer, Music, and Technology expert and World music trailblazer. With over 1000 credits to his name, the musical icon has been inducted into the Hip-hop hall of fame and was recently awarded the Soul Train Legend award for his works in creating The New Jack Swing Era of music whose impact changed the sound of R&B indelibly.<\/p>\n

DuJuan McCoy is the owner and CEO of Bayou City Broadcasting LLC., one of the leading Black-owned broadcast television station affiliate groups in the United States.\u00a0 McCoy, a 30-year seasoned broadcast professional, and native of Indianapolis attended Ben Davis High School and graduated from Butler University. McCoy recently announced that his company is acquiring WISH-TV (Channel 8) and WNDY TV (Channel 23) from Nexstar Media Group later this year under his newly formed company Circle City Broadcasting, LLC.<\/p>\n
